Beteranang Aktres At Nakilala Sa Kaniyang Pagganap Bilang Si Lola Basyang, Pumanaw Na

Recently, many netizens were surprised by the news about the p4ssing of one of the seasoned actresses in the Philippines showbiz industry.

The famous radio talent and seasoned actress, Luz Fernandez d1ed just this March 5, Wednesday. She is 86 years old.

Percie Zapata, Luz’s younger brother, was the first to confirm the heartbreaking news. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who has supported and adored the actress.

Luz is best known on television as Lola Torya, the host of Ora Engkantada, which was one of the top-rated children’s fantasy television shows in 1986.

She rose to prominence after portraying Luka, the Queen of Darkness, in Vic Sotto’s popular sitcom.

In recent years, she has been recognized by new generations when she played Lola Yolanda in Pepito Manaloto, Amaya as Gawas, and in Kambal Karibal where she played Magda. Aside from that, she is also known for her work in “Okay Ka, Fairy Ko.”

She returned to her role as Lola Basyang in Ballet Manila’s Three Tales of Lola Bashang in 2015.

According to some reports, Luz’s remains are buried in Sapphire 1 of the Loyola Memorial Chapels in Marikina City. Her funeral is scheduled for this March 9, Wednesday.

Luz Fernandez was most recently seen in the 2019 film ‘And I Thank You,’ alongside Comedy Queen Ai Ai Delas Alas.

Meanwhile, one of the achievements accomplished by the seasoned actress was “Rodrigo de Villa”, which is an international movie co-production of Indonesian film production Pesaro and LVN Studio that she produced.

It was released in 1952 which was also Luz’s first project in which she collaborated with Delia Razon and Mario Montenegro.

Meanwhile, many netizens and celebrities were saddened by the news of her p4ssing as she is one of the best actresses in the Philippine industry. They also expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family of Luz.
