He is the only founder of the SM Group of Companies or now called SM Investment. The said businessman also owns several well-known businesses in the country.
But, only on Thursday night, March 18, one of the heirs of SMDC d1ed at the age of 29.
In social media posts shared by Jan Catherine’s friends, they posted a statement from her father, Henry Sy Jr. that Catherine p4ssed away at 6:35 in the afternoon.
According to some of the comments, bacteria may have been the reason for Catherine’s d3ath, which is why she was confined. As of Thursday morning, she was reported to be in critical condition. But until now the real reason for her death remains a mystery to many.
However, the doctors considered lept0spirosis from a bacterial infection as the possibility of his illn3ss.
According to an ABS-CBN News report, doctors believe his illn3ss is caused by C0VID-19, hep4titis, d3ngue, and malar1a.
The statement reads,
“They are still not sure what this is, but the highest possibility is that it is a bacterial inf3ction that resulted in lept0spirosis. This is possible if even a small cut that can go unnoticed is made.”
Jan Catherine’s condition does not show any signs of illn3ss or v1rus. The family said that she was still young and healthy.
