Fans of singer Karylle lambasted comedian-host Vice Ganda after the latter allegedly insult and humiliate her in the February 3 episode of the noontime show, Its Showtime.

Vice’s claimed humiliation and insult of Karylle became a trending topic on social media. The issue started when Karylle reminded Vice Ganda about a recorded song for co-host Vhong Navarro.

Karylle said,

“Vice may request si Vhongskie. Kasi last time nagrehearse siya sa umaga tapos binigay mo sa iba yung kanta n’ya.”

Vice Ganda asked: “Ano’ng problema natin Karylle?”

Karylle answered: “Hindi. Natatawa lang kami kasi prinactice raw niya.”

Vice then told Karylle: “E di sana kinanta mo.”

But despite Vice blocking her, Karylle still answered him, saying, “Sa bawa’t sulok daw ng bahay n’ya prinactice raw n’ya.”

Vice Ganda said: “Okay na yun Karylle.”

Meanwhile, after the said episode, the clip quickly went viral on social media. Many netizens, especially Karylle’s supporters, were dissatisfied with Vice’s response to Karylle. They said that Karylle addressed Vice correctly, but instead of responding appropriately, he got hostile and even interrupted her.

Following this, Vice received backlash on social media. Many netizens also chastised him for his nasty remark to Karylle. Meanwhile, Vice swiftly addressed the matter.

In his Twitter post, he said that he acknowledges that he made a mistake when he answered Karylle.

Vice Ganda wrote,

“Oh so i am being called out. Yes i acknowledge sablay ako dun. P0tah sablay again. Bawi po ako. Bawi right away.”

However, there are many netizens who think Vice is being sarcastic or insincere when he said that he acknowledged his mistake. Due to this, various reactions about the issue flooded again. Vice’s true behavior and interaction with other It’s Showtime hosts were also brought up.

This was after several remarks arose claiming he was a liar, acting as the show’s main star, and being a bu11y to the other hosts. According to a netizen, Vice always bullies Karylle because of her uniqueness. A netizen also stated that his nasty attitude caused other program hosts to leave, including Billy Crawford, Eruption, and Kuya Kim.

Meanwhile, the issue even more heated, and many netizens were intrigued when they saw that Kuya Kim liked tweets criticizing Vice.
This shows that the alleged bad tweet about Vice is true.

Meanwhile, Kuya Kim also commented on the issue where he revealed his opinion about Karylle. According to him, Karylle is one of the kindness souls he knows in showbiz. He added that the singer is the type of person who will not speak negatively against anyone and that he loves her.

Kuya Kim wrote,

“@anakarylle is one of the kindest souls I know in showbiz. She will never talk negatively against anyone. I love Karylle.”

Meanwhile, Kuya Kim’s comment and his liking of the negative comments against Vice quickly reached him. And with Vice’s personality, he will not be silent against those who want to destroy him or speak ill of him.

After their issue started trending, he and Karylle shows that everything was OK and that there was no tension between them. It’s worth noting that there was no awkward mood between him and Karylle on the episode of Its Showtime on February 4. In fact, he and Karylle are still joking and laughing, which is contrary to what most people said.

The comedian said in the opening of the said episode,

“Sikat na sikat tayo ngayon, yes! Trending tayo sa Twitter, girl! Mamaya, magbi-video kami ni Karylle—magsasabunutan kami. Gusto nila ‘yon. ‘Yun ang bet nila, ‘yung mag-aaway tayo kunwari. ‘Tapos maraming nagla-like-like para involve sila. Yes, trending din siya. Nakuha niya ‘yung gusto niya. Ikaw talaga, kuya.”

Kuya Kim has yet to respond to Vice’s action against him. Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Kuya Kim has been talked about because of his comments against Its Showtime and its hosts.

Kuya Kim hosted Its Showtime from 2009-2016. He left the program in 2018 to maintain and strengthen his image as a knowledge expert. But, it looks like Kuya Kim has a deeper reason why he left the program. In 2021, his comment on actress Camille Prats’ post about his brother John Prats’ talent as a director became a talk on social media.

It is worth noting that John Prats was the temporary director of It’s Showtime before becoming one of the directors of Ang Probinsyano. Kuya Kim appears to be implying in his statement that John’s departure from It’s Showtime is a blessing in disguise.

Kuya Kim commented,

“Nothing is an accident mars Camille. Galing ni Lord no? Iniwas siya sa sakit ng ulo.”

Kuya Kim left ABS-CBN in 2021 when the network lost its franchise and moved to GMA-7. He is currently the host of the Kapuso variety show ‘TikTok Clock.’
